Domestic 725

I’m a big fan of oddball sewing machines. Whether the oddity is technological or aesthetic, if I can manage, I like to add them to my collection.
With its quirky Art Deco style the Domestic 725 rotary falls into the aesthetic oddity category. It’s functionally a copy of the White 611 rotary but with a boxy look as opposed to the streamlined look of the model 611.
This machine is a quite different from the simple, straightforward, and elegant, design of some of the more common White rotaries. It’s motor is underneath the machine and it uses drive belts as opposed to a friction wheel.
