Kenmore 158.10302

This is one of the lightweight portable 3/4 sized machines sold by Sears/Kenmore often referred to as the Mini-Kenny. The Mini-Kenny is often compared to the Singer Featherweight do to it’s size, but it’s really not a good comparison. The Featherweight is straight stitch only and the Mini-Kenny includes multiple stitch options. The Kenmore 158.10302 is a little larger and heavier than the Featherweight. They are different machines and appeal to users for different reasons. I will add that the Mini-Kenny tends to cost less than a Featherweight, but the prices on this little Kenmore has been on a steady rise.

The Kenmore 158.10302 features a plastic clamshell case embossed with roses and also an extendable bed.

The inner workings of this machine, including the drivetrain and cam stack are made metal, The body and top cover are also made of metal. The weak point of this machine is the plastic knobs and levers.
