The difference between part number CAT.-S4, and CAT.S-4, Singer lamps. Yep, it’s just the lower switch contact leg and solder pad, the switch housing is the same except for the part number.

Yes, the CAT.S-4 is better, and I will die on that hill. 🤓

I would guess the CAT.S-4 came first and the CAT.-S4 was introduced later since it uses a little less metal, but that’s pure speculation on my part.

Note: The CAT.-S4 lamp used in this example is bad, it’s top contact spring has failed.
