This is an example of the two pattern, reversible, flat disc style Singer Flexi-Stitch disc. The two stitches on disc number 202 are “Feather Stitch” and “Multi Stitch Zig Zag”. At the moment this is the only Flexi-Stitch disc that I have. Singer referred to these Flexi-Stitch discs as “Type D”.

Six of the seven Type D Flexi-Stitch discs

My friend Sharon from the Facebook Vintage Sewing Machine Group and real life, supplied me with an image of 6 of the Type D Flexi-Stitch discs. My understanding is there are a total of seven “Type D” Flexi-Stitch designs. Not all of these discs contain two stitches. Below are the six pattern sets I’ve been able to confirm thus far.

• Disc 202 – Part# 153829 – Feather Stitch / Multi Stitch Zig Zag
• Disc 232 – Part# 153831 – Overedge Stretch Stitch / Blind Stitch Right
• Disc 240 – Part# 171388 – Paris Point Stitch / No second pattern
• Disc 241 – Part# 153830 – Multi-Stretch Stitch Left / No second pattern
• Disc 242 – Part# 310901 – Multi-Stretch Stitch Right / No second pattern
• Disc 243 – Part# 310920 – Slant Overedge Stitch / Blind Stitch Left

Here is the Singer 306 Class Fashion Disc single layer disc next to the two pattern, reversible Singer Flexi-Stitch disc. If I understand correctly the machines that used Flexi-Stitch could also use the Fashion disc, but not necessarily the other way around.
