Singer Sewing Machines

Singer 21W180 Industrial sewing machine

This is a Singer 21W180 compound feed (Needle feed/Drop feed) manufactured at the former Wheeler & Wilson plant in Bridgeport, Connecticut U.S.A. The apparatus on the front of the machine drives the needle feed, and the ones on the back of the machine are for the knee lift that lifts the presser foot.

This is a full sized and rather heavy industrial sewing machine.

Since this is a drop/needle or compound feed sewing machine, the needle and feed dog move in unison and the presser foot requires a slot for the needle to move in.

The left and right ends of this machine will seem very familiar to anyone who’ ha’s used a Wheeler & Wilson D9 or Singer W9 sewing machine.
