Pfaff 130
Long term project machine.

This rather rough Pfaff 130 is going to be a long term project. For now you can see what it looked like when I got it home, and I’ll add more to the article as I proceed.

The paint and wires are in terrible condition. I can rewire the machine without any trouble, but I’ll have to do some research on repainting if I decide to go that route. The Zig-Zag and needle position adjusters were frozen solid. I did manage to get the Zig-Zag knob to move enough to know that the Zig-Zag does work. There’s a plastic cam that controls the Zig-Zag rocker fork, but it looks like it’s in good shape, but I have to pay special attention not to get petroleum based oils or too much heat on that cam. The timing belt is in good shape, so that’s good news.
As stated in the opening, this is a project machine that needs a lot of work. Please check back now and then for updates.
