New Home Sewing Machines

Climax

Pictorial

New Home – Badged Climax T , manufactured by the National sewing machine company. These are not uncommon machines, but I don’t have a lot of information about them, other than the fact that they were manufactured by National, and the “Climax” badged machines are the low to mid tear machines of the New Home line. That said, they are good little vibrating shuttle machines, and if it’s not missing parts, or rusted out, they tend to be restorable to working condition.

New Home Climax

New Home – Badged Climax, manufactured by the National sewing machine company. National made a lot of these 3/4 sized machines, and marked them New Home, Climax, and several other names, but they’re all basically the same machine.

Climax Treadle Table Irons

A friend of mine gave me a beautiful set of treadle irons marked Climax, but unfortunately the wood top got separated from them before landing in my collection.

Our Special

This machine badged as “Our Special” is the same design made by National, but I’m not sure if it was sold by New-Home or not. This machine is marked “Made In U.S.A.”. I’ve seen another machine badged “Plaza” that’s the same and has the same decal set on it, and I know there are others out there.
